Meet Ursula Howarth
Ursula is a registered paramedic and nurse and has worked across the veterinary nursing industry, paramedicine, human nursing, academia and infection prevention and control (IPC). As a credentialled infection control professional (Advanced), Ursula is passionate about creating education and resources that are contextualised to the paramedicine environment.
She has worked in rural, remote and metropolitan areas as a paramedic and as an IPC Clinical Nurse Consultant in two ambulance services. She continues to advocate for IPC in the ambulance by establishing an IPC special interest group within infection control in the acute out-of-hospital environment and by participating in research and education.
