Meet Byron Williams
Byron Williams is a registered Extended Care Paramedic from New Zealand, with experience across ambulance services, primary care, iwi health, education, and governance. He has worked as an Extended Care Paramedic in an iwi outreach clinic and a general practice (doctors’ clinic), as well as a frontline paramedic within ambulance services and in ambulance education.
Byron holds an Executive MBA and a Master of Emergency Management, in addition to his qualifications in healthcare and associated fields. He has led the development of paramedic and Extended Care Paramedic services within primary care. He has a strong interest in improving access to healthcare, strengthening clinical governance, and developing sustainable, community-focused services. He also holds the rank of Qualified Firefighter in his local brigade.
