Meet Martien Strik
Martien Strik, RN, BSN is a critical care nurse, healthcare simulation specialist, and founder of ReactSIM.
He has more than 15 years of clinical experience across emergency care, intensive care, cardiac care, prehospital medicine, and patient transport, combined with extensive experience in critical care education and simulation-based training.
Throughout his career, Martien has focused on clinical reasoning, emergency decision-making, resuscitation, and the education of healthcare professionals. His experience at the bedside and as an educator has shaped his interest in developing more accessible and realistic ways for healthcare professionals to practice complex and high-risk situations.
He is currently developing ReactSIM, a browser-based digital simulation platform that combines dynamic patient simulation, clinical decision-making, remote team training, and mass casualty incident simulation. His work focuses on exploring how digital simulation and AI can make high-quality experiential learning more accessible, scalable, and adaptable for healthcare and emergency response education.
